About Flag Factory
Flag Factory started in 1925 when Canvas Workers Limited was established and made canvas goods and flags. Percy Goldman bought the business in 1945 and expanded its range of products and activities. In the 1960's Canvas Workers became the first South African manufacturer to be awarded a State Tender for National Flags which up to that time had been imported.
1967 saw the separation of the retail and manufacturing divisions of the business - the latter under the name SPORTI PRODUCTS with Percy's sons, Adrian and Michael, as Directors. Since 1992 SPORTI PRODUCTS has specialised in flags, flagpoles, banners and portable signage and the trading name FLAG FACTORY has been used to more clearly define its activities.
The business has since been taken over by vibrant entrepreneurs who wish to expand the business even further without tarnishing the quality that Flag Factory has become known for.
Since 1925 we have built a fine reputation for quality products that have been used effectively by clients throughout South Africa to draw attention to their organisations, products, services and events.
